one is available in your area. You will want to subscribe
to Chip Chats Magazine and/or Woodcarver's Illustrated. These
magazines will help you with tools, "how to" information
and the location of various shows in your

Listed below are two kits for the beginner. Be sure that you purchase a carving glove as it will help prevent any major injuries from the sharp tools that you will be using. We will always sharpen the tools purchased from Sunshine Woodcarving at the time of purchase. This is a free service on all knives, gouges, and chisels purchased. We recommend that you start out with one of our starter kits and add to it as you need more tools. Please don't become a tool collector. Only buy what you need or what you know how to use. Many tools are versatile and can be used to accomodate more than one task. Feel free to e-mail us any questions you have concerning tools and their use. We will try to answer all questions.
